  • Rendering & Visualization | Red Line Cafe

Red Line Cafe Using Vectorworks , I create detailed drafting packages that turn creative visions into actionable plans. From scenic design to experiential environments, these precise drawings ensure seamless execution at every stage. Rendeing & Visualization Design Reels I was presented with the exciting challenge of designing an urban café with a sustainable focus, and I knew this was an opportunity to bring a unique vision to life. Inspired by the dynamic energy of Chicago, particularly its iconic Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), I conceptualized Red Line Café as a vibrant community hub. The design features a striking entrance with a wave-like lightbox, evoking the movement of the city, paired with railings reminiscent of the architectural lines of the John Hancock building. Inside, I wanted to create a space that feels as lively as the city yet comfortable enough for a wide range of activities. From the CTA-inspired signage to a streamlined, minimalist coffee menu, every detail is designed for ease and flow, inviting patrons to navigate the space effortlessly. The seating is intentionally varied, accommodating everyone from solo visitors seeking a quiet corner to larger groups gathering for board games, studying, or remote work. Whether grabbing a coffee during a busy commute or unwinding with a beer after work, Red Line Café offers a flexible, welcoming environment that captures the spirit of Chicago. This design embodies the balance between urban vitality and communal comfort, and I am confident it will leave a lasting impression on all who visit. Design Process

  • Rendering & Visualization | Solitude

Solitude Using Vectorworks , I create detailed drafting packages that turn creative visions into actionable plans. From scenic design to experiential environments, these precise drawings ensure seamless execution at every stage. Rendeing & Visualization Design Reels In a world paused by uncertainty, Solitude captures the quiet ache of disconnection. The room—tall, stark, and coolly lit—serves as both a physical space and an emotional void, inspired by the blank walls of my apartment in Chicago. Its refined, almost sterile design reflects a life that appears well-ordered on the surface, yet underneath, there is a profound sense of absence. The lone figure, small against the vastness of the room, gazes longingly through the large windows. Outside, the soft glow of lights from neighboring apartments offers a glimpse of life continuing, but for him, it is untouchable—residing in a distant world he can no longer access. The glowing windows of the six-story apartment building become silent witnesses to his isolation, each light representing lives lived in parallel yet separate, evoking the shared but disconnected experience of the pandemic. The man’s posture—still, almost frozen—suggests the weight of this isolation. Though surrounded by modern comforts and refinement, the space feels hollow, echoing the deeper emotional landscape of yearning for contact, for warmth, for human connection that once seemed so ordinary. Solitude is a meditation on the human condition during a time of profound global isolation. It invites the viewer to confront the tension between external appearance and internal desolation, between presence and absence, and ultimately between the yearning for connection and the void that remains when it is lost. Scenic Deisgn Barefoot in the Park Freaky Friday Boeing Boeing The Penelopiad The Last Train to Nibroc For The Last Train to Nibroc, I focused on creating an intimate setting within the vastness of the proscenium to enhance the play’s themes of connection and vulnerability. The design features a raked stage and a smaller, textured proscenium crafted from Kentucky barn wood, evoking a sense of warmth and nostalgia. A 30-foot truck backdrop transitions seamlessly between locations, reinforcing the journey while maintaining the close connection between the characters, Raleigh and May, as they navigate love in uncertain times.
