- Freaky Friday
Scenic Deisgn Barefoot in the Park Freaky Friday Boeing Boeing The Penelopiad Freaky Friday In Freaky Friday, I aimed to create a visually dynamic world that balances bold simplicity with a vibrant storytelling style inspired by Archie Comics. This scenic design uses clean lines, bright colors, and stylized shapes to transform the stage into a lively, cartoon-like setting that enhances the high energy of the performance. Each element is designed with precision, inviting the audience into an engaging and playful environment that complements the story’s humor and warmth. - The Pajama Game

- The Liar
Scenic Deisgn Barefoot in the Park Freaky Friday Boeing Boeing The Penelopiad The Liar For The Liar by David Ives, adapted from Pierre Corneille, I created a scenic design that embraced the play’s playful wit and period charm. The design balanced classical architectural elements with bold, exaggerated features, reflecting the farcical tone of the story. Vibrant colors and dynamic stage compositions supported the heightened energy of the dialogue, while intricate period-inspired details anchored the setting in its historical roots. This approach emphasized the comedy’s theatricality, inviting the audience into a visually engaging world where deception and humor collide. - An Enemy of the People
Scenic Deisgn Barefoot in the Park Freaky Friday Boeing Boeing The Penelopiad An Enemy of the People For An Enemy of the People, I drew inspiration from Tokyo’s 2D Café, utilizing a grayscale aesthetic that highlights the stark themes of Ibsen’s play. The set features rough, almost Gothic sketches as part of the backdrop, creating a surreal, illustrated environment. Contrasting red furniture punctuates the monochromatic space, emphasizing the tension and moral conflicts at the heart of the story. This bold visual approach reinforces the play’s exploration of truth, power, and resistance, immersing the audience in a world as intense as the narrative. - Dial "M" For Murder
Scenic Deisgn Barefoot in the Park Freaky Friday Boeing Boeing The Penelopiad Dial "M" For Murder For Dial M for Murder at Okoboji Summer Theatre, my scenic design embraced minimalist principles to amplify the play's suspense and psychological tension. The apartment of Tony and Margot Wendice was hinted at with elegant yet sparse furnishings, creating an air of sophistication while leaving surrounding areas in darkness. This choice heightened the sense of confinement and isolation central to the story, drawing the audience into the underlying themes of deception and danger. Each design element, from the functional layout to the subdued decor, was meticulously crafted to enhance the narrative and immerse the audience in the characters’ entrapment.
