Angel Food Cake

This scenic rendering was developed for the West Coast premiere of Angel Food Cake, directed by Evan Mueller at Western Summer Theatre. Modeled in Vectorworks and rendered in Twinmotion, the design captures a slice of rural Americana—a mobile home interior rendered with detail, warmth, and restraint.

The environment reflects a lived-in comfort: plaid upholstery, red-checkered backsplash, and wood-paneled walls suggest a timeworn pride in domestic space. Every element, from the striped curtains to the overhead ceiling fan, is positioned to evoke a specific texture of American life—personal, grounded, and emotionally accessible.

The home itself functions not only as a container for memory and conflict, but as a character in its own right. Exterior lighting and platforming hint at an outdoor world beyond the proscenium, while the cutaway format provides cinematic clarity and theatrical containment. This rendering was designed to serve both as a visualization tool and as a tonal statement—inviting the audience into a world where everyday space holds extraordinary emotional weight.
