About

For The Liar by David Ives, adapted from Pierre Corneille, I created a scenic design that embraced the play’s playful wit and period charm. The design balanced classical architectural elements with bold, exaggerated features, reflecting the farcical tone of the story. Vibrant colors and dynamic stage compositions supported the heightened energy of the dialogue, while intricate period-inspired details anchored the setting in its historical roots. This approach emphasized the comedy’s theatricality, inviting the audience into a visually engaging world where deception and humor collide.
